Top photographic sites in Richmond

If you are looking for a quick escape from the crowded city of London, this charming little town that lies along the Thames River will make you fall in love by its rich historical architecture and quintessentially  British woodland. You will find one of the most beautiful parks in London and it is Europe’s largest urban one.

 

We have chosen our six favourite photographic spots that should not be missed if you are visiting Richmond:

 

  1. Isabella Plantation
    Forty acre woodland gardens, erupting with different shapes and colours. The stunning Azaleas and the large variety of different plants are such a spectacular scenery and out of the ordinary that will make you look back to nature.

 2. Terrace Gardens

Located very close to Richmond town centre. It is the best locations for a picnic by the views of the river Thames. Surrounded by the Rose Garden, the Herbaceous Border and mature trees, through its large areas of sustainable planting to value the wildlife.
 

 

 

 

3. Spotting the deer at the park

Catch a glimpse of the famous deer! Make sure you take some fruits and nuts with you if you want to take an epic photograph of the icon of Richmond.
 

 

 

 

 

4. Petersham Meadows

The remarkable view from Richmond Hill. Attached to Ham House, the famous landscape captured by the famous artist, William Turner.
 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Waterlily House

Full of tropical fruit, fern and aquatic plants. Giant colourful waterlilies at the Crystal Palace is a stop you must do. The amazement and curiosity they develop are such an inspiration for the dreamy ones!

 

 

 

 

 

6. The Great Pagoda and Japanese Gateway

The ten steps to heaven building and the replica of the Nishi Hongan-Ji gate in Kyoto, surrounded by gardens that have been beautifully designed. Harmony and calmness is felt in the air. The uniqueness of this landscape will make you travel in time.
