Finding 'The One'...
It took us around 15 years of being together to finally get married, we first met in Kingston in a bar down by the river in 2002, and on Christmas day 2010 Jason finally popped the question, then 8 years later we set the date for a Christmas winter wedding.
We looked at a few venues but they did not feel right for us, but when we first walked into the Richmond Hill Hotel it felt right for us and when we was being shown round we just kept smiling at each other as we knew this is where we wanted to get married.
With the Christmas winter wedding idea we went for silvers, whites and greys, the hotel was going to put up Christmas trees so we was set for our own winter wonderland, the hotel recommended Carlie at THE PERFECT PIECE to help us out with our ideas for the room and they did the most amazing job, when you walked it looked breath taking, they also supplied a sweet cart for Jason.
It's all about the personal touches...
The flowers came from THE STAND in Wimbledon, We wanted something winter looking and Emma made us such lovely fresh lovers that was whites with silvers and sparkles.
We found it hard to choose a cake we both wanted until we met Nadia from CAKE ME BY SURPRISE she had the best ideas to suit our theme ,we had the most delicious 3 tier white cake covered in snowflakes, she even made us an extra top tier for us to take home.
To go along with the Christmas theme we had the biggest, most amazing turkey Christmas dinner cooked by the hotel, everyone was pulling Christmas crackers, putting on there hats, enjoying the food and laughing, looking around the room it was just like Christmas day with all our friends and family!
One of the best things we added to our wedding was a photo booth, we spent the next day going through all the photos of our friends and family enjoying themselves.
I did not really have my heart set on a particular style of dress, just from a lot of looking around and during a visit to the National Wedding Show I found the perfect dress for me. A small wedding boutique located in the Isle of White had my dream dress and the journey there was worth it!
Finding your Dream Team...
So many people made our day special, our friends and family, bridesmaids and grooms men,
Carlie at THE PERFECT PIECE for making our winter wonderland. Nadia at CAKE ME BY SURPRISE for her cake and the most amazing cake lolly pops Gary our photographer was so helpful on the day and provided us with great photographs.
All the staff at the hotel that helped us to plan the wedding and get though the day, they made it go so smooth and easy.We also can't forget to mention the Richmond Hill hotels very own DJ VERNON, he helped us out so much with lighting, sorting out the photo booth and his patience with us as we kept changing our minds about things.
Getting everyone onto the dance floor, dancing until the end of the night toVernon's favourite Christmas song DOMINICK THE CHRISTMAS DONKEY!!
It was also lovely that on the Sunday when we woke up at the hotel to finish of our winter wedding we opened the window to find it was snowing.
A huge thank you to Judit and Jason for sharing their wedding with us as well as Gary for the stunning photos – www.photoweddings.co.uk
