A romantic weekend in Richmond

Arguably one of the prettiest suburbs of London, Richmond Upon Thames is home to beautiful parks, Georgian architecture and a wealth of delightful places to eat and drink.

With so much to admire, we’ve put together a romantic guide to while away 2 days in the leafy oasis.

                          DAY 1

Start your stay with a visit to Kew Gardens. Step inside the tropics with a visit to the Kew orchid festival and enjoy panoramic views of the botanical paradise from the treetop walkway.

Come afternoon, roam Richmond’s riverside. As you pass by the Richmond Bridge, we recommend a cosy stop off at the quaint Retreat Kitchen. Offering a selection of homemade food and organic wines, you’ll leave fuelled for your afternoon of wandering the picturesque Richmond Park.

Relax over a delicious evening meal at 144 On The Hill, whilst you sample our signature cocktails on our sun terrace. With a host of brilliant shows coming up, extend your evening with a night of

entertainment at the Richmond Theatre.

                                                                                           DAY 2

After a day on your feet, enjoy a lazy lie in and take advantage

of our brunch menu. Indulge in a selection of delightful dishes such as eggs benedict, berry pancakes and seasonal fruit and yoghurt.

Spend Sunday morning exploring the suburbs eclectic shops and vibrant cafe scene, before a magical afternoon at Petersham nursery, Richmond’s gorgeous garden centre. Home to a Michelin star restaurant, set in a glass greenhouse surrounded by bougainvillea, we couldn’t think of more romantic way to finish your stay in Richmond.
